Ben Fuchs joins the Foundations Advisory Board for one of the leading ranked RIA firms in the United States.

As seen in the patch

Fuchs Financial is proud to announce that company founder Ben Fuchs has been invited to join the Foundations Advisory Board for one of the nation’s leading Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firms – Foundations Investment Advisors. Ranked 6th in the country by USA Today, this elite RIA firm selected just six advisors for its board in 2025, including Ben Fuchs.

The selection reflects his deep commitment to advancing thoughtful, client-first financial planning and his growing influence within the industry. As a member of the Foundations Advisory Board, he will contribute insights and guidance to help shape the firm’s strategic direction and enhance service across the financial advisory space.

Fuchs Financial, with offices throughout Connecticut, was recently voted Best Financial Management Company for 2025 in the Best of Hartford Readers Poll, conducted by The Hartford Courant. The firm, with offices in Middletown, West Hartford, Middlebury, and Mystic, focuses on the best interests of clients in all retirement planning recommendations.

“Our goal is to help people to plan for their retirement in a way that is specific to their circumstances and objectives, and which will minimize their taxes and maximize their retirement,” explained Ben Fuchs, a Certified Financial Planner® and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® professional, with two decades of experience. “Our goal is to help our clients be in the best position for a financially secure retirement.”

Fuchs Financial was founded by Ben Fuchs in 2019, as a Registered Investment Advisor. Foundations Investment Advisors, based in Arizona, has a network for more than 250 advisor partners across the country. USA TODAY partnered with market research firm Statista to rank the top RIAs. As explained by USA TODAY, RIAs are “companies with a fiduciary duty to always act in their client’s best interests. They charge fees rather than sales commissions and employ investment adviser representatives (IARs) who are licensed to give financial advice and are increasingly taking a holistic approach to their clients’ financial lives.

Other financial firms, such as broker-dealers, earn commissions from selling stocks, bonds, or mutual funds and need only provide suitable advice. Sometimes, they may sell more expensive products that generate more revenue for them but don’t necessarily meet a client’s long-term goals.”

Hartford Business Journal recently noted that “Broker-dealers are held to a “suitability standard,” meaning they must ensure investment recommendations are suitable for the client’s needs and objectives, but are not legally required to act in the client’s best interest at all times. The number of representatives registered as RIAs surged 28% over the past five years, while the number registered solely as broker-dealers fell 18%, according to a 2025 report from Institutional Shareholder Services Market Intelligence, HBJ reported.

Ben Fuchs has appeared on the nationally telecast program Wealth Council, which airs on the FOX Business Network, and he can be seen locally on WTNH News 8, WFSB, and NBC Connecticut, and heard on WTIC Radio in Hartford. In addition, he was interviewed earlier this summer on iHeart Radio’s public affairs program Community Access, hosted by iHeart’s Allison Demers.
